Kindred Spirits was a New Orleans based band that made music from 1991-1999. LeAnn Paramore was the heart and soul of every version of that band.
This site is a legacy to her music and the band. Since her passing we’ve been working to put together the pieces to the puzzle back together. Below is LeAnn in her own words on Facebook describing the different iterations of the band. We’ll try to fill in the blanks as we get more information.

To all of the kindred spirit alumni here is the inception of the group (the all girl group). Pat this is before your and Wayne’s day. This was the second incarnation of kindred spirits. I don’t remember who the guy is that doesn’t have a shirt on, my bad, but that’s me in the middle with Wayne and then to the left is Rhea And to the right is Carlene and I don’t remember who the chick is on the bottom. Boy your memory really does go as you get older! Kindred spirits the next evolution: Wayne Lohr on keyboards, Pat Haggarty on guitar, Mike McAllister on drums and the addition of my sister Rebekah on percussions and vocals. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such a group of professional and talented musicians. I miss jamming with you guys. Kindred spirits the next generation: not too long after that last picture I posted that Joe Sims joined our band. He was so young and innocent and we totally corrupted him but he turned out to be one of the most awesome musicians to work with and as of late quite a writer. Pictured on the far left is Gary Sanchez who beat the drums harder than I’ve ever seen and really rocked up our band and sound. And I guess I was going through a cowboy phase with that hat. And Pat with his rocker long hair. We were playing a lot of 90s alternative music and having a blast. Once again great musicians. I’ve been so lucky and fortunate to have worked with so many great ones.
